Scottsburg Middle School is named as an Apple Distinguished Program
Scottsburg,
Indiana— November 12, 2013 — Scott County School District 2 is pleased
to announce that Scottsburg Middle School has been recognized as an
Apple Distinguished Program for 2013 to 2015 for its 1:1 Digital
Teaching and Learning Initiative.
The Apple Distinguished Program
designation is reserved for programs that meet criteria for innovation,
leadership, and educational excellence, and demonstrate Apple’s vision
of exemplary learning environments.
The selection of Scottsburg
Middle School as an Apple Distinguished Program highlights our success
as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages
students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment.
Students
and teachers at Scottsburg Middle School use both iPad technology along
with MacBooks to enhance, engage, and amplify the learning environment.
Student engagement and achievement is on the rise and in the Spring of
2013 student pass rates on ISTEP+ were at all-time highs in the number
of students passing those standardized assessments.
