approximately 24,000. In the last three decades of the 1900s, its
population grew by 33.9%. Scott County, Indiana is located in south
central Indiana approximately 90 miles south of Indianapolis, 30 miles
north of Louisville, Kentucky and 110 miles west of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Scott County consists of the cities of Austin and the county seat of
Scottsburg.
